My favourite 4x4's

Toyota Landcruiser: I really like the Toyota Landcruiser in all its forms but the one I love is the 80 series Land cruiser as I believe this is the best allround vehicle money can buy - period! why? well there are a many reasons that make the Land cruiser 80 series the best all round vehicle, it delivers space, performance, speed, looks, towing ability all packaged together in this perfect car. Cannot forget to mention its unparalleled reliability and outstanding ability in all types of terrain and proven durability. The Landcruiser is the vehicle of choice by thousands of people around the globe in situations when a reliable vehicle is not just needed for transport from A to B but the most vital tool for survival! as a breakdown could mean death! Nissan Patrol Y60: Apart from a Landcruiser the Y60 Patrol Safari is the only 4x4 I would choose for an overland trip, its big and spacious, extremely capable offroad and almost as reliable as a Land cruiser, quite simple and easy to work on and there are no electronic gizmos to fail. The superb 4.2 diesel engine which really is a powerhouse that will pull a few Landrovers across the globe many times. Mercedes Gelandewagen: The G wagen is possibly the coolest 4x4 of all time (along with the LC40 of course) this really is an amazing machine, built to military standards and is capable of conquering most countries on its own :-) The chassis is superbly constructed and built to last many lifetimes, the G is one tough 4x4, I know this from practical experience as I crashed my 1989 GD300 at over 50mph through some hedges, over an 8 foot road sign and in to a ditch......apart from the wheel alignment it only suffered a bent grill and front bumper! The G wagen is an icon in the real 4x4 world, and rightly so.

I do prefer the above 4x4 vehicles over any "car" but my short list of my favourite cars of all time is:

BMW M5 - The mother of all super saloons, the one they all try to emulate, the one and only BMW M5 (e28, e34, e39)

Mercedes SEC AMG - when it comes to a coupe only one stands out as an icon - the awesome Mercedes SEC W126

Nissan Skyline R34 - Toyota Supra - What would eat a Ferrari for breakfast? Its either a Skyline or a Supra! (I can't choose one over the other)

Porche 911 Carrera Turbo - Another German legend "art in motion?" well this is it.

Saab 900 Calsson Turbo - The '80s brought out the best icons of the motoring world and the Saab 900 Carlsson is definetly one of the best.

There is NO other car worthy of being in my top 5 favourite cars of all time.
